Dancer portrait

Article text
I was asked to take some shots for a dance company around the concept of levitation within normality. The theme tied in with the company name. Charlie Ranken, the director and choreographer, put in all the hard work and all I had to do was snap away at the right moment of her moves while making sure the shutter speed was fast enough to freeze the motion and that there was enough depth of field. This was one of several images we were happy with. More about the dance company's work can be found at off the ground.
