Giottos AEGIS Screen Protector

This screen protector is designed to sit over the rear LCD of a digital SLR. It protects the LCD from scratches and other damage. It is available for many different cameras.

Having lived with the annoyance of a scratched LCD on one of my earlier cameras I was keen to avoid a repeat of the problem. I tried some of the flexible plastic film covers but the image quality with them in place was quite poor so I splashed the cash on this item. It is made from thin but high quality glass which has several layers of coatings to ensure good light transmission with little ghosting or reflection. Positioning it on the screen is a little fiddly but once in place it provides great protection from scratches and dust and the LCD image doesn't seem to be degraded in any way. Highly recommended.
